Rabbit anti-Human ATRIP Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against ATRIP was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-260 of human ATRIP (NP_569055.1) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q8WXE1

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    ATRIP

  • Target Full Name

    ATR-interacting protein

  • Target Function

Required for checkpoint signaling after DNA damage. Required for ATR expression, possibly by stabilizing the protein.

  • Target Subcellular Location

Nucleus. Note=Redistributes to discrete nuclear foci upon DNA damage.

  • Target Protein Families

    ATRIP family

  • Target Tissue Specificity

    Ubiquitous.

  • Target Synonyms

    AGS1; ATIP; ATM and Rad3 related interacting protein; ATM and Rad3-related-interacting protein; ATR interacting protein; ATR-interacting protein; Atrip; ATRIP_HUMAN; DKFZp762J2115; FLJ12343; MGC20625; MGC21482; MGC26740

  • Target Background

This gene encodes an essential component of the DNA damage checkpoint. The encoded protein binds to single-stranded DNA coated with replication protein A. The protein also interacts with the ataxia telangiectasia and Rad3 related protein kinase, resulting in its accumulation at intranuclear foci induced by DNA damage. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
