Rabbit anti-Human ATXN10 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against ATXN10 was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 346-475 of human ATXN10 (NP_037368.1) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, IF/ICC, ELISA.

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    ATXN10

  • Target Full Name

    Ataxin-10

  • Target Function

Necessary for the survival of cerebellar neurons. Induces neuritogenesis by activating the Ras-MAP kinase pathway. May play a role in the maintenance of a critical intracellular glycosylation level and homeostasis.

  • Target Involvement

    Spinocerebellar ataxia 10 (SCA10)

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Cytoplasm, perinuclear region.

  • Target Protein Families

    Ataxin-10 family

  • Target Tissue Specificity

Expressed in the central nervous system.

  • Target Synonyms

  • Target Background

This gene encodes a protein that may function in neuron survival, neuron differentiation, and neuritogenesis. These roles may be carried out via activation of the mitogen-activated protein kinase cascade. Expansion of an ATTCT repeat from 9-32 copies to 800-4500 copies in an intronic region of this locus has been associated with spinocerebellar ataxia, type 10. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
