Rabbit anti-Human CASTOR1 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against CASTOR1 was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-329 of human CASTOR1 (NP_001032755.1) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, IHC-P, IF/ICC, ELISA.

Uniprot IDQ8WTX7Immunogen Sequence
Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q8WTX7

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    CASTOR1

  • Target Full Name

Cytosolic arginine sensor for mTORC1 subunit 1

  • Target Function

Functions as an intracellular arginine sensor within the amino acid-sensing branch of the TORC1 signaling pathway. As a homodimer or a heterodimer with CASTOR2, binds and inhibits the GATOR subcomplex GATOR2 and thereby mTORC1. Binding of arginine to CASTOR1 allosterically disrupts the interaction of CASTOR1-containing dimers with GATOR2 which can in turn activate mTORC1 and the TORC1 signaling pathway.

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Cytoplasm, cytosol.

  • Target Protein Families

    GATS family

  • Target Tissue Specificity

    Widely expressed.

  • Target Synonyms

    GATL3_HUMAN; GATS-like protein 3; GATSL3
