Rabbit anti-Human CHST10 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against CHST10 was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 30-250 of human CHST10 (NP_004845.1) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Immunogen Information

Immunogen DescriptionRecombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 30-250 of human CHST10 (NP_004845.1).Target SpeciesHuman
Uniprot IDO43529Immunogen Sequence
Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    O43529

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    CHST10

  • Target Full Name

    Carbohydrate sulfotransferase 10

  • Target Function

Catalyzes the transfer of sulfate to position 3 of terminal glucuronic acid of both protein- and lipid-linked oligosaccharides. Participates in biosynthesis of HNK-1 carbohydrate structure, a sulfated glucuronyl-lactosaminyl residue carried by many neural recognition molecules, which is involved in cell interactions during ontogenetic development and in synaptic plasticity in the adult. May be indirectly involved in synapse plasticity of the hippocampus, via its role in HNK-1 biosynthesis.

  • Target Subcellular Location

Golgi apparatus membrane; Single-pass type II membrane protein.

  • Target Protein Families

    Sulfotransferase 2 family

  • Target Tissue Specificity

In fetal tissues, it is predominantly expressed in brain, and weakly expressed in lung, kidney and liver. In adult, it is highly expressed in brain, testis, ovary, expressed at intermediate level in heart, pancreas, skeletal muscle, spleen and thymus, and

  • Target Synonyms

    CHST10; Carbohydrate sulfotransferase 10; HNK-1 sulfotransferase; HNK-1ST; HNK1ST; HuHNK-1ST

  • Target Background

This protein encoded by this gene transfers sulfate to the C-3 hydroxyl of terminal glucuronic acid of protein- and lipid-linked oligosaccharides. This protein was first identified as a sulfotransferase that acts on the human natural killer-1 (HNK-1) glycan; HNK-1 is a carbohydrate involved in neurodevelopment and synaptic plasticity.
