Rabbit anti-Human CKM Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against CKM was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 3-381 of human CKM (NP_001815.2) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, IF/ICC, ELISA.

Immunogen Information

Immunogen DescriptionRecombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 3-381 of human CKM (NP_001815.2).Target SpeciesHuman
Uniprot IDP06732Immunogen Sequence
Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    P06732

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    CKM

  • Target Full Name

    Creatine kinase M-type

  • Target Function

Reversibly catalyzes the transfer of phosphate between ATP and various phosphogens (e.g. creatine phosphate). Creatine kinase isoenzymes play a central role in energy transduction in tissues with large, fluctuating energy demands, such as skeletal muscle, heart, brain and spermatozoa.

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Cytoplasm.

  • Target Protein Families

    ATP:guanido phosphotransferase family

  • Target Research Area

    Cancer

  • Target Synonyms

    (Creatine kinase M chain)(Creatine phosphokinase M-type)(CPK-M)(M-CK)

  • Target Background

The protein encoded by this gene is a cytoplasmic enzyme involved in energy homeostasis and is an important serum marker for myocardial infarction. The encoded protein reversibly catalyzes the transfer of phosphate between ATP and various phosphogens such as creatine phosphate. It acts as a homodimer in striated muscle as well as in other tissues, and as a heterodimer with a similar brain isozyme in heart. The encoded protein is a member of the ATP:guanido phosphotransferase protein family.
