Rabbit anti-Human DNAL1 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against DNAL1 was raised in rabbit using the Synthesized peptide derived from internal of Human DNAL1. as the immunogen. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This antibody has been validated on ELISA, WB.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q4LDG9

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    DNAL1

  • Target Full Name

    Dynein axonemal light chain 1

  • Target Function

Part of the multisubunit axonemal ATPase complexes that generate the force for cilia motility and govern beat frequency. Component of the outer arm dynein (ODA). May be involved in a mechanosensory feedback mechanism controlling ODA activity based on external conformational cues by tethering the outer arm dynein heavy chain (DNAH5) to the microtubule within the axoneme. Important for ciliary function in the airways and for the function of the cilia that produce the nodal flow essential for the determination of the left-right asymmetry.

  • Target Involvement

    Ciliary dyskinesia, primary, 16 (CILD16)

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, cilium axoneme.

  • Target Protein Families

    Dynein light chain LC1-type family

  • Target Tissue Specificity

Expressed in tissues carrying motile cilia such as respiratory epithelia, ependyma and testis.

  • Target Synonyms

axonemal; Axonemal dynein light chain 1; Axonemal dynein light chain; C14orf168; Chromosome 14 open reading frame 168; CILD16; DNAL 1; dnal1; DNAL1_HUMAN; Dynein axonemal light chain 1; Dynein light chain 1; Dynein light chain 1 axonemal; MGC12435

  • Target Background

This gene encodes an axonemal dynein light chain which functions as a component of the outer dynein arms complex. This complex acts as the molecular motor that provides the force to move cilia in an ATP-dependent manner. The encoded protein is expressed in tissues with motile cilia or flagella and may be involved in the movement of sperm flagella. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
