Keratin-binding protein required for epithelial cell polarization. Involved in apical junction complex (AJC) assembly via its interaction with PARD3. Required for ciliogenesis.

Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, microtubule organizing center, centrosome, centriole. Cytoplasm, cytoskeleton, spindle pole. Cell junction. Note=Localizes specifically to the distal appendage region of the centriole, which anchors the mother centriole to the plasma membrane. Localizes to the apical junction complex (AJC) in epithelial cells.
