The antibody against KHK was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-298 of human KHK (NP_000212.1) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Catalyzes the phosphorylation of the ketose sugar fructose to fructose-1-phosphate.
Target Involvement
Fructosuria (FRUCT)
Target Protein Families
Carbohydrate kinase PfkB family
Target Tissue Specificity
Most abundant in liver, kidney, gut, spleen and pancreas. Low levels also found in adrenal, muscle, brain and eye.

Target Background
This gene encodes ketohexokinase that catalyzes conversion of fructose to fructose-1-phosphate. The product of this gene is the first enzyme with a specialized pathway that catabolizes dietary fructose. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
