Rabbit anti-Human LHCGR Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against LHCGR was raised in rabbit using the Synthesized peptide derived from the C-terminal region of Human LHR. as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated isotype IgG. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This antibody has been validated on WB, IF, ELISA.

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    LHCGR

  • Target Full Name

    Lutropin-choriogonadotropic hormone receptor

  • Target Function

Receptor for lutropin-choriogonadotropic hormone. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylate cyclase.

  • Target Involvement

Familial male precocious puberty (FMPP); Luteinizing hormone resistance (LHR)

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Cell membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.

  • Target Protein Families

    G-protein coupled receptor 1 family, FSH/LSH/TSH subfamily

  • Target Tissue Specificity

    Gonadal and thyroid cells.

  • Target Research Area

    Cardiovascular, Neuroscience

  • Target Background

This gene encodes the receptor for both luteinizing hormone and choriogonadotropin. This receptor belongs to the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family, and its activity is mediated by G proteins which activate adenylate cyclase. Mutations in this gene result in disorders of male secondary sexual character development, including familial male precocious puberty, also known as testotoxicosis, hypogonadotropic hypogonadism, Leydig cell adenoma with precocious puberty, and male pseudohermaphtoditism with Leydig cell hypoplasia.
