Rabbit anti-Human PPP6C Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against PPP6C was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-305 of human PPP6C (NP_002712.1) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Uniprot IDO00743Immunogen Sequence
Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    O00743

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    PPP6C

  • Target Full Name

    Serine/threonine-protein phosphatase 6 catalytic subunit

  • Target Function

Catalytic subunit of protein phosphatase 6 (PP6). PP6 is a component of a signaling pathway regulating cell cycle progression in response to IL2 receptor stimulation. N-terminal domain restricts G1 to S phase progression in cancer cells, in part through control of cyclin D1. During mitosis, regulates spindle positioning. Downregulates MAP3K7 kinase activation of the IL1 signaling pathway by dephosphorylation of MAP3K7. Participates also in the innate immune defense against viruses by desphosphorylating RIG-I/DDX58, an essential step that triggers RIG-I/DDX58-mediated signaling activation.

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Mitochondrion. Cytoplasm.

  • Target Protein Families

PPP phosphatase family, PP-6 (PP-V) subfamily

  • Target Tissue Specificity

Ubiquitously expressed in all tissues tested with highest expression levels in testis, heart, kidney, brain, stomach, liver and skeletal muscle and lowest in placenta, lung colon and spleen.

  • Target Synonyms

    FLJ92648; MGC12249; PP 6; PP6; PP6C; PPP 6; PPP 6C; PPP6; PPP6_HUMAN; Ppp6c; Protein phosphatase 6 catalytic subunit; Serine/threonine protein phosphatase 6; Serine/threonine protein phosphatase catalytic subunit ; Serine/threonine-protein phosphatase 6 catalytic subunit

  • Target Background

This gene encodes the catalytic subunit of protein phosphatase, a component of a signaling pathway regulating cell cycle progression. Splice variants encoding different protein isoforms exist. The pseudogene of this gene is located on chromosome X.
