Rabbit anti-Human RAPGEF3 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against RAPGEF3 was raised in rabbit using the Synthesized peptide derived from the C-terminal region of Human Epac. as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated isotype IgG. The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    O95398

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    RAPGEF3

  • Target Full Name

Rap guanine nucleotide exchange factor 3

  • Target Function

Guanine nucleotide exchange factor (GEF) for RAP1A and RAP2A small GTPases that is activated by binding cAMP. Through simultaneous binding of PDE3B to RAPGEF3 and PIK3R6 is assembled in a signaling complex in which it activates the PI3K gamma complex and which is involved in angiogenesis. Plays a role in the modulation of the cAMP-induced dynamic control of endothelial barrier function through a pathway that is independent on Rho-mediated signaling. Required for the actin rearrangement at cell-cell junctions, such as stress fibers and junctional actin.

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Endomembrane system.

  • Target Tissue Specificity

Widely expressed with highest levels in adult kidney, heart, thyroid and brain, and fetal kidney.

  • Target Synonyms

RAPGEF3; CGEF1; EPAC; EPAC1; Rap guanine nucleotide exchange factor 3; Exchange factor directly activated by cAMP 1; Exchange protein directly activated by cAMP 1; EPAC 1; Rap1 guanine-nucleotide-exchange factor directly activated by cAMP; cAMP-regulated guanine nucleotide exchange factor I; cAMP-GEFI

  • Target Background

Enables guanyl-nucleotide exchange factor activity and protein domain specific binding activity. Involved in several processes, including positive regulation of protein modification process; regulation of actin cytoskeleton organization; and regulation of syncytium formation by plasma membrane fusion. Located in filopodium; lamellipodium; and microvillus. Colocalizes with cortical actin cytoskeleton and plasma membrane. Biomarker of congestive heart failure.
