Rabbit anti-Human RNF125 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against RNF125 was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 41-200 of human RNF125 (NP_060301.2) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q96EQ8

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    RNF125

  • Target Full Name

    E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase RNF125

  • Target Function

E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that mediates ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of target proteins, such as DDX58/RIG-I, MAVS/IPS1, IFIH1/MDA5, JAK1 and p53/TP53. Acts as a negative regulator of type I interferon production by mediating ubiquitination of DDX58/RIG-I at 'Lys-181', leading to DDX58/RIG-I degradation. Mediates ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of p53/TP53. Mediates ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of JAK1. Acts as a positive regulator of T-cell activation.

  • Target Involvement

    Tenorio syndrome (TNORS)

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Golgi apparatus membrane; Lipid-anchor.

  • Target Tissue Specificity

Predominantly expressed in lymphoid tissues, including bone marrow, spleen and thymus. Also weakly expressed in other tissues. Predominant in the CD4(+) and CD8(+) T-cells, suggesting that it is preferentially confined to T-cells.

  • Target Research Area

    Cell Biology

  • Target Synonyms

    RNF125; E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase RNF125; EC 2.3.2.27; RING finger protein 125; T-cell RING activation protein 1; TRAC-1

  • Target Background

This gene encodes a novel E3 ubiquitin ligase that contains a RING finger domain in the N-terminus and three zinc-binding and one ubiquitin-interacting motif in the C-terminus. As a result of myristoylation, this protein associates with membranes and is primarily localized to intracellular membrane systems. The encoded protein may function as a positive regulator in the T-cell receptor signaling pathway.
