The antibody against RNF185 was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-130 of human RNF185 (NP_689480.2) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Target Name
RNF185
Target Full Name
E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase RNF185
Target Function
E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that regulates selective mitochondrial autophagy by mediating 'Lys-63'-linked polyubiquitination of BNIP1. Acts in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-associated degradation (ERAD) pathway, which targets misfolded proteins that accumulate in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) for ubiquitination and subsequent proteasome-mediated degradation. Protects cells from ER stress-induced apoptosis. Responsible for the cotranslational ubiquitination and degradation of CFTR in the ERAD pathway. Preferentially associates with the E2 enzymes UBE2J1 and UBE2J2.
Target Subcellular Location
Mitochondrion outer membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein. Endoplasmic reticulum membrane; Multi-pass membrane protein.
Target Tissue Specificity
Ubiquitously expressed.
Target Synonyms
RNF185; E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase RNF185; RING finger protein 185; RING-type E3 ubiquitin transferase RNF185
Target Background
Enables ubiquitin binding activity; ubiquitin protein ligase activity; and ubiquitin-like protein conjugating enzyme binding activity. Involved in positive regulation of ERAD pathway; protein autoubiquitination; and ubiquitin-dependent ERAD pathway. Located in endoplasmic reticulum.
