The antibody against RRAGA was raised in rabbit using the Recombinant Human Ras-related GTP-binding protein A protein (1-247AA) as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated isotype IgG, purified by protein G with a purity greater than 95%. This antibody has been validated on ELISA, IHC, IF.

Target Name
RRAGA
Target Full Name
Ras-related GTP-binding protein A
Target Function
Guanine nucleotide-binding protein that plays a crucial role in the cellular response to amino acid availability through regulation of the mTORC1 signaling cascade. Forms heterodimeric Rag complexes with RRAGC or RRAGD and cycles between an inactive GDP-bound and an active GTP-bound form. In its active form participates in the relocalization of mTORC1 to the lysosomes and its subsequent activation by the GTPase RHEB. Involved in the RCC1/Ran-GTPase pathway. May play a direct role in a TNF-alpha signaling pathway leading to induction of cell death.; (Microbial infection) May alternatively act as a cellular target for adenovirus E3-14.7K, an inhibitor of TNF-alpha functions, thereby affecting cell death.
Target Subcellular Location
Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Lysosome.
Target Protein Families
GTR/RAG GTP-binding protein family
Target Tissue Specificity
Ubiquitously expressed with highest levels of expression in skeletal muscle, heart, and brain.
Target Research Area
Apoptosis
Target Synonyms
Adenovirus E3 14.7 kDa-interacting protein 1; FIP-1; Rag A; RagA; Ras-related GTP-binding protein A; RRAGA; RRAGA_HUMAN
Target Background
Enables several functions, including GTP binding activity; protein dimerization activity; and ubiquitin protein ligase binding activity. Involved in several processes, including cellular response to amino acid starvation; negative regulation of autophagy; and positive regulation of TORC1 signaling. Located in lysosome and nucleus. Colocalizes with GATOR1 complex.
