The antibody against RRAGC was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-250 of human RRAGC (NP_071440.1) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Target Name
RRAGC
Target Full Name
Ras-related GTP-binding protein C
Target Function
Guanine nucleotide-binding protein that plays a crucial role in the cellular response to amino acid availability through regulation of the mTORC1 signaling cascade. Forms heterodimeric Rag complexes with RRAGA or RRAGB and cycles between an inactive GTP-bound and an active GDP-bound form. In its active form participates in the relocalization of mTORC1 to the lysosomes and its subsequent activation by the GTPase RHEB. This is a crucial step in the activation of the TOR signaling cascade by amino acids.
Target Involvement
RRAGC mutations have been found in a patient with idiopathic dilated cardiomyopathy with ventricular dilation and systolic dysfunction, bilateral cataracts, and mild facial dysmorphisms.
Target Subcellular Location
Cytoplasm. Nucleus. Lysosome.
Target Protein Families
GTR/RAG GTP-binding protein family

Target Background
This gene encodes a member of the GTR/RAG GTP-binding protein family. The encoded protein is a monomeric guanine nucleotide-binding protein which forms a heterodimer with RRAGA and RRAGB and is primarily localized to the cytoplasm. The encoded protein promotes intracellular localization of the mTOR complex. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
