Rabbit anti-Human SMARCD2 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against SMARCD2 was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 454-531 of human SMARCD2 (NP_001091896.1) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, IHC-P, ELISA.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q92925

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    SMARCD2

  • Target Full Name

    SWI/SNF-related matrix-associated actin-dependent regulator of chromatin subfamily D member 2

  • Target Function

Involved in transcriptional activation and repression of select genes by chromatin remodeling (alteration of DNA-nucleosome topology). Component of SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complexes that carry out key enzymatic activities, changing chromatin structure by altering DNA-histone contacts within a nucleosome in an ATP-dependent manner. Critical regulator of myeloid differentiation, controlling granulocytopoiesis and the expression of genes involved in neutrophil granule formation.

  • Target Involvement

    Specific granule deficiency 2 (SGD2)

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Nucleus.

  • Target Protein Families

    SMARCD family

  • Target Tissue Specificity

Isoform 2 is expressed in the pancreas.

  • Target Synonyms

    SMARCD2; BAF60B; PRO2451; SWI/SNF-related matrix-associated actin-dependent regulator of chromatin subfamily D member 2; 60 kDa BRG-1/Brm-associated factor subunit B; BRG1-associated factor 60B; BAF60B

  • Target Background

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the SWI/SNF family of proteins, whose members display helicase and ATPase activities and which are thought to regulate transcription of certain genes by altering the chromatin structure around those genes. The encoded protein is part of the large ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling complex SNF/SWI and has sequence similarity to the yeast Swp73 protein. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
