The antibody against SPR was raised in Rabbit using a synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence within amino acids 200-261 of human SPR (P35270) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Target Involvement
Dystonia, DOPA-responsive, due to sepiapterin reductase deficiency (DRDSPRD)
Target Subcellular Location
Cytoplasm.
Target Protein Families
Sepiapterin reductase family

Target Synonyms
OTTHUMP00000160199; SDR38C1; Sepiapterin reductase (7,8 dihydrobiopterin:NADP+ oxidoreductase); Sepiapterin reductase; Short chain dehydrogenase/reductase family 38C, member 1; SPR; SPRE_HUMAN
Target Background
This gene encodes an aldo-keto reductase that catalyzes the NADPH-dependent reduction of pteridine derivatives and is important in the biosynthesis of tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4). Mutations in this gene result in DOPA-responsive dystonia due to sepiaterin reductase deficiency. A pseudogene has been identified on chromosome 1.
