Rabbit anti-Human TDGF1 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against TDGF1 was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 1-188 of human TDGF1 (NP_003203.1) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    P13385

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    CRIPTO

  • Target Full Name

    Protein Cripto

  • Target Function

GPI-anchored cell membrane protein involved in Nodal signaling. Cell-associated TDGF1 acts as a Nodal coreceptor in cis. Shedding of TDGF1 by TMEM8A modulates Nodal signaling by allowing soluble TDGF1 to act as a Nodal coreceptor on other cells. Could play a role in the determination of the epiblastic cells that subsequently give rise to the mesoderm.

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Cell membrane; Lipid-anchor, GPI-anchor. Secreted.

  • Target Protein Families

    EGF-CFC (Cripto-1/FRL1/Cryptic) family

  • Target Tissue Specificity

Preferentially expressed in gastric and colorectal carcinomas than in their normal counterparts. Expressed in breast and lung.

  • Target Research Area

    Developmental Biology

  • Target Synonyms

  • Target Background

This gene encodes an epidermal growth factor-related protein that contains a cripto, FRL-1, and cryptic domain. The encoded protein is an extracellular, membrane-bound signaling protein that plays an essential role in embryonic development and tumor growth. Mutations in this gene are associated with forebrain defects. Pseudogenes of this gene are found on chromosomes 2, 3, 6, 8, 19 and X. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
