The antibody against TFPI2 was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 23-235 of human TFPI2 (NP_006519.1) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, IHC-P, ELISA.

TFPI2
Target Full Name
Tissue factor pathway inhibitor 2
Target Function
May play a role in the regulation of plasmin-mediated matrix remodeling. Inhibits trypsin, plasmin, factor VIIa/tissue factor and weakly factor Xa. Has no effect on thrombin.
Target Subcellular Location
Secreted.
Target Tissue Specificity
Umbilical vein endothelial cells, liver, placenta, heart, pancreas, and maternal serum at advanced pregnancy.
Target Synonyms
Placental protein 5; PP5; REF1; Retinal pigment epithelium cell factor 1; TFPI 2; TFPI-2; TFPI2; TFPI2 PEN; TFPI2_HUMAN; Tissue factor pathway inhibitor 2
Target Background
This gene encodes a member of the Kunitz-type serine proteinase inhibitor family. The protein can inhibit a variety of serine proteases including factor VIIa/tissue factor, factor Xa, plasmin, trypsin, chymotryspin and plasma kallikrein. This gene has been identified as a tumor suppressor gene in several types of cancer. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
