Rabbit anti-Human TSPYL2 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against TSPYL2 was raised in Rabbit using the recombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 240-460 of human TSPYL2 (NP_071400.1) as the immunogen. The polyclonal antibody exists as a isotype IgG, by affinity purification. This antibody has been validated on WB, ELISA.

Immunogen Information

Immunogen DescriptionRecombinant fusion protein containing a sequence corresponding to amino acids 240-460 of human TSPYL2 (NP_071400.1).Target SpeciesHuman
Uniprot IDQ9H2G4Immunogen Sequence
Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q9H2G4

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    TSPYL2

  • Target Full Name

    Testis-specific Y-encoded-like protein 2

  • Target Function

Part of the CASK/TBR1/TSPYL2 transcriptional complex which modulates gene expression in response to neuronal synaptic activity, probably by facilitating nucleosome assembly. May inhibit cell proliferation by inducing p53-dependent CDKN1A expression.

  • Target Subcellular Location

    Nucleus. Cytoplasm.

  • Target Protein Families

    Nucleosome assembly protein (NAP) family

  • Target Tissue Specificity

Ubiquitously expressed, with highest levels in brain, testis and heart, and lowest levels in liver and pancreas.

  • Target Synonyms

    CASK interacting nucleosome assembly protein; CDA1; Cell division autoantigen 1; Cell division autoantigen 1 nucleolar protein; CTCL tumor antigen se20-4; CTCL-associated antigen se20-4; Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma-associated antigen se20-4; DENTT; Differentially-expressed nucleolar TGF-beta1 target protein; HRIHFB2216; NP79; Nuclear protein of 79 kDa; Testis-specific Y-encoded-like protein 2; TSPX; TSPY-like protein 2; TSPYL2; TSYL2_HUMAN

  • Target Background

This gene encodes a member of the testis-specific protein Y-encoded, TSPY-like/SET/nucleosome assembly protein-1 superfamily. The encoded protein is localized to the nucleolus where it functions in chromatin remodeling and as an inhibitor of cell-cycle progression. This protein may play a role in the suppression of tumor growth.
