Rabbit anti-Human VIPAS39 Polyclonal Antibody

The antibody against VIPAS39 was raised in rabbit using the Recombinant Human Spermatogenesis-defective protein 39 homolog protein (1-493AA) as the immunogen. This antibody exists as a non-conjugated isotype IgG, purified by protein G with a purity greater than 95%. This antibody has been validated on ELISA, WB, IF.

Background Information
  • Uniprot Id

    Q9H9C1

  • Target Species

    Human

  • Target Name

    VIPAS39

  • Target Full Name

    Spermatogenesis-defective protein 39 homolog

  • Target Function

Proposed to be involved in endosomal maturation implicating in part VPS33B. In epithelial cells, the VPS33B:VIPAS39 complex may play a role in the apical RAB11A-dependent recycling pathway and in the maintenance of the apical-basolateral polarity. May play a role in lysosomal trafficking, probably via association with the core HOPS complex in a discrete population of endosomes; the functions seems to be independent of VPS33B. May play a role in vesicular trafficking during spermatogenesis. May be involved in direct or indirect transcriptional regulation of E-cadherin.

  • Target Involvement

Arthrogryposis, renal dysfunction and cholestasis syndrome 2 (ARCS2)

  • Target Subcellular Location

Cytoplasm. Cytoplasmic vesicle. Early endosome. Recycling endosome. Late endosome. Note=Colocalizes in clusters with VPS33B at cytoplasmic organelles (PubMed:19109425).

  • Target Protein Families

    SPE39 family

  • Target Research Area

    Others

  • Target Synonyms

Apical basolateral polarity regulator; FLJ12707; hSPE-39; Protein spe-39 homolog; SPE 39; SPE 39 protein; SPE39; Uncharacterized protein C14orf133; vipar; VIPAR_HUMAN; VPS16B; VPS33B interacting protein; VPS33B interacting protein apical basolateral polarity regulator; VPS33B interacting protein involved in polarity and apical protein restriction; VPS33B-interacting protein

  • Target Background

Involved in endosome to lysosome transport and intracellular protein transport. Acts upstream of or within collagen metabolic process and peptidyl-lysine hydroxylation. Located in Golgi apparatus and endosome. Implicated in arthrogryposis, renal dysfunction, and cholestasis 2.
