The recombinant Human IL2RG protein expression involves the transfection of baculovirus cells with a DNA expression vector containing the gene encoding the protein of interest (56-254aa(N75Q)). Following transfection, the cells are cultured to induce the expression of the desired protein. The protein is equipped with a C-terminal 6xHis tag. The recombinant Human IL2RG protein is collected and purified from the cell lysate through affinity purification, achieving a purity greater than 85%, as determined by SDS-PAGE.

Target Background
The protein encoded by this gene is an important signaling component of many interleukin receptors, including those of interleukin -2, -4, -7 and -21, and is thus referred to as the common gamma chain. Mutations in this gene cause X-linked severe combined immunodeficiency (XSCID), as well as X-linked combined immunodeficiency (XCID), a less severe immunodeficiency disorder.
